Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen is also is known as Jeff Bezos who was born on 12 January 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico City, America.

Benzos attended River Oaks School in Huston from fourth till sixth grade, he has completed his higher studies in Palmetto High School in Florida, he used to work in McDonald’s during that time. In 1986, he got to graduate from Princeton University for a Bachelor of Science Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

After graduation in 1986, he first worked for Fitel, which was a fintech telecommunications start-up, where he had to build a network for Global Trade. He worked there from 1988-1990. Then he joined D.E. Shaw & Co, a newly founded hedge fund with a strong emphasis on Mathematical Modelling and worked there until 1994.

Before quitting the job in late’s 1993, he decided to establish his own online bookstore, he left his job and founded Amazon on July 5, 1994, in his own garage. He first named it Cadabara after which he changed it to Amazon on the name of Amazon River in South America, and also because the name begins with the letter A which is the first letter in Alphabets too. He warned all of his investors of that time, that there are 70% chances of Amazon to fail or to go bankrupt. Even though Amazon was initially an original online bookstore but Benzos always wanter to expand it to other products too.

After Amazon started working well in September 2000, he founded Blue Origin, a human spaceflight startup company. He long ago expressed his interest in space travel and want to advance the life of humans in the solar system. At the age of 18, he represented his idea for saving Earth from resource depletion.

In 1997, Benzos first became a millionaire through Amazon’s Initial Public Offering, and his name was in the Forbes World’s Billionaire in 1999. After the financial crisis in 2008, his net worth erodes to $6.8 billion. In 2010, his wealth accelerated y 85.2% which made his net worth $12.6 billion. And in 2014, it got raised to $30.5 billion. When the 2017 list was out he was in the top 3 wealthiest people with the net worth of $72.8 billion. On March 6, 2018, he occurred to officially chosen as the World’s Wealthiest Person with a net worth $112 billion. His wealth has been rocketing higher for the last five years with an increasing rate of 34% per year.

It is also much noting that Benzos had handed over much of his wealth to his wife McKenzie Benzos for the divorce settlement last year of worth US$38 billion, which had been count as one of the world’s largest settlement.

In June 2019, he purchased three adjoining apartments in Manhattan worth US$80 million, and in February 2020, he purchased Warner Estate for $165 million.
Benzos who has an estimated net worth of US$143.9 billion will become trillionaire by 2026.

Bezos has been the world’s richest person since 2017. He also is one of the world’s five richest people who hasn’t lost money this year as an amid result of the outgoing coronavirus pandemic, his fortune had grown by $24bn, citing the huge demand of groceries and household due to lockdown.

If his net worth does reach $1 trillion, he’d be worth more than the individual GDPs of 179 countries with a combined population of 3.4 billion.
