Blackpink, the four-piece K-pop girl group, has allegedly completed recording its second album, which is slated for launch around ancient to mid-June. The band is forecast to film a music video in May.

“Blackpink is scheduled to return in June. We plan to formally make a statement to lovers first when we have a specific release date,” a spokesperson to YG Entertainment, the team’s management firm, said in an announcement to South Korea’s Sports News.

The forthcoming album would mark the group’s first new music launch because April 2019, if their EP Kill This Appreciate premiered. The group previously released a couple of singles, EPs, and region-exclusive records with a compilation of previously released tunes.


Last month, Lady Gaga declared cooperation with Blackpink on her most recent record Chromatica. The group is going to be soon featured on the trail”Sour Candy,” linking Elton John and Ariana Grande on the singer’s forthcoming record.

The record-breaking team has bagged many accolades since debuting in 2016. Blackpink is your first feminine K-pop band to have four number one songs on the Billboard World Digital Song Revenue chart and also the first and just K-pop woman ring to create Billboard’s Emerging Artists graph.

This past year, the group rated first in Forbes Korea’s listing of the “Most Powerful Celebrities” and next in the listing for 2020.

Frustration among lovers (collectively called”Blink”) over Blackpink’s comeback has been building in recent months after previous statements created by YG Entertainment on brand new music releases along with the Royal debuts of group members.

“Over the year 2019, it’s my aim and desire which BLACKPINK creates two comebacks while the three remaining members launch solo paths in the sequence of Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo,” Yang Hyun-suk, the creator of YG Entertainment, composed on the organization’s site in February 2019.

Last December, supporters of this team launched a campaign advocating YG Entertainment to meet promises they supposedly had to meet seeing Blackpink’s comeback. A truck blasting Blackpink’s music has been reported to have been pushed around the area in Seoul in which YG Entertainment’s workplace is situated, even though a movie was played with enthusiasts’ requirements in the tag.

An administrator of this Twitter accounts of Blackpink Radio, the team that directed the truck demonstration, advised Billboard this past year: “YGE [YG Entertainment] happen to be feeding us lies and false claims ever because the team surfaced and even though we understand the firm has other musicians to handle, BLACKPINK’s direction remains underwhelming compared to their unbelievable success. We, as fans, are frustrated and tired that the team’s possible feels subdued because of YGE’s manners. Three decades of presence, 13 tunes, no complete record, no appropriate promotions, and just one comeback annually is infuriating and improper. That said, we chose to do it.”

YG Entertainment reacted in an announcement on its official Twitter accounts which said:

“We all in YG want to convey our deepest gratitude to the fans and might love to take this chance to share with you which we’re doing our best to provide BLACKPINK and Blinks the ideal songs YG has to offer you.”

Last June, Yang resigned from all of his positions in the firm after a series of scandals involving allegations made against a number of their label’s artists such as Seungri (former member of their K-pop group Big Bang), who had been accused of organizing sex solutions for customers in the Burning Sun nightclub he possesses.

“I’ve been tolerating words concerning the present situation which are too disgraceful and embarrassing to mention since they’ve been told as though they’re the reality. But I think that it’s too hard today. I think there could no longer be a circumstance in which YG, our bureau’s celebrities, and lovers are experiencing injury because of me,” Yang declared in a statement this past year.

“But, I’ll resign from all my positions and operate at YG starting now. I sincerely hope there is not any additional damage to the YG agency stars I adore, and also to the fans who adore them, for me.”
